Hi Ma, the desktop is only 2 weeks old and Office Plus was installed without a problem from CDs I purchased through work 3 years ago. Outlook worked fine until recently with this issue. I have loaded no other applications.

I tried your suggestion for Safe Mode and the issue remains. Not sure on disabling the Add-Ins. There are some listed but all look OK and I don’t want to create a bigger problem by doing something wrong. The only disable Add-In listed is mssphtp. Your thoughts are appreciated!! Thanks, Ken. Disabling the add-ins is a way for us to isolate the issue. There are add-ins that are not compatible with your current application.

You can re-enable the add-ins by checking the checkbox once you notice that it was not the reason why you experience the issue. The following steps on this link will also help you find a resolution that might resolve your concern with using the Outlook app.

We appreciate the time and effort that you have done to get resolved the issue with Outlook Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. When I right click on the message ribbon you get several options including “View Settings”. When I select this option, I get the message “Microsoft Outlook has stopped working” and restarts Outlook. When I try this again, it states “Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available”. This issue started recently and was not a problem until now, Thanks, Ken.

How can we improve? Outlook offers the capability to download only the e-mail header, which includes the sender and the subject of the e-mail, and display these on the screen before downloading the message itself. See How to set Outlook to download only E-mail headers for more details. See Limiting the incoming message size for more details.

By default, Outlook displays only a small subset of the available fields for messages. You can add columns for other fields, such as Cc or Sensitivity , to show additional information.
